Information Science

Information science is a field that concerned with the analysis, manipulation, storage, dissemination of information etc. Information Science plays a vital role about everything we do in modern society. Information systems are vital to the operation of modern organizations and information scientists are involved in almost every field. People with information science skills are needed and many varied career opportunities in fields such as business, science, education, health, music , technology etc.  Practitioners within the field study and usage of knowledge in organizations between people and organizations, with the purpose of creating, improving, or understanding information systems.

Information science is considered a branch of computer science. It is an interdisciplinary field, not only aspects of computer science, but often used in fields such as archival science, commerce, communications, law, library science, management and the social sciences. Information Science used by the technology, people, and organizations. It has discipline and a focus on Information and Communication Technologies used by people to manage information within organizations.

The study of information includes activities such as information collection, processing, storage and presentation, communication of information etc. It also encompasses study of the information at the organizational and information systems that support information usage.
